About Us

Founded in 2011, the African-Canadian Catholic Community of Saskatoon (ACCCS) is a vibrant community of faith where Africans and non-Africans come together to worship God in the traditional African way.

Our mission is to live out the Catholic faith in unity with the global Church while celebrating the richness of African culture through music, liturgy, and community life.

Our Values:

The Church aims to address local challenges while drawing on local resources, all while maintaining unity with the global Church through a shared faith in Jesus Christ.

Values the lived experiences and theological reflections of Christian communities, recognizing that faith is embodied in daily life and expressed in various contexts

The Church upholds the dignity of all individuals, emphasizing that everyone is created in God’s image and should be treated with respect, ensuring the avoidance of exploitation.

The Church emphasizes the integration of faith into African culture (inculturation) and the pursuit of holiness in all areas of life, including personal, family, and community contexts.

The African Catholic Church is recognized for its vibrant and passionate expression of faith, particularly among the youth, who are seen as a driving force for the future.
